Heero liked to see Duo blush. Maybe he liked it because it was something Duo very rarely did but the fact was that Heero loved to see Duo's cheeks turn pink and his eyes diverting, ashamed, if only for a second.

Sexual insinuations didn't seem to work – but Heero wasn't complaining of the results – and teasing was accepted with a laugh and a witty comeback. The only way to get Duo to blush was with compliments. Not passing things like "I like your shirt" or "you look hot", but heartfelt sincere compliments.

So Heero liked to surprise Duo when he least expected it. They could be having breakfast and Heero would say how much he admired Duo's way to love. How Duo seemed to be able to love a lot of people and still love Heero so intensely. And Duo would blush.

They could be watching a movie with the other guys, criticizing the unrealistic fight scenes, and Heero would whisper in Duo's ear how much he enjoyed hearing him sing, especially when he thought no one was listening. And Duo would blush.

When Heero had to leave to guard Relena, he would leave a note for Duo, telling him how his love and caring had shown Heero how to live, truly live, instead of only existing. And even though Heero wasn't there to see it, he knew Duo would blush.

And after Duo blushed, he always found a way to get Heero alone and kiss him. A deep kiss, a kiss that was more intense than any spoken words. Heero would return the kiss, hold Duo close and be amazed that someone so wonderful loved him. And Heero would blush.

it was from bookworms and number geeks. what's funny is, I almost went with a quote from Tinto y Café con Leche ... but decided not to at the last minute. that story was the first one i'd ever read of yours and enjoyed it immensely.

"I have no talent," stated Heero, simply.

Duo rolled his eyes at him. This wasn't a discussion he was willing to lose. "Sure you do. Everyone has a talent."

"Mine are not interesting." Heero shrugged. "I don't see why I need to be a part of this."

"Everyone has to participate," Duo said, moving closer to Heero, under the shade of the tree. "Cat and Trowa said it. If you are not performing, you can't watch."

Heero grumbled and did his poor imitation of a pout. "It's a stupid idea."

Leaning over, Duo gave Heero a soft kiss on the lips. "It's not stupid. It's brilliant."

Trowa and Quatre had discovered recently that they both played instruments, and one afternoon, they had started to improvise. In the end, they had composed three flute and violin duets and wanted to share them with their friends. However, they didn't want to be the only ones performing so they had decided to hold a talent show.

Duo had spent three days laughing after hearing the idea, but he had to admit that it was very original and that it would at least be an interesting gathering. Now he was just trying to convince his boyfriend to participate. Trowa had gladly given Duo the task, saying that it was a boyfriend thing to do, not a best friend thing. Yeah, right.

"What is your talent?" asked Heero.

"You say that like I only have one." Duo smirked. "If you want me to, I can show you some of the private ones."

"Later." Heero said, giving Duo an appreciative look. "I want to know what are you doing for your performance tomorrow?"

Duo grinned. "You mean the one after the talent show?" Heero was just too easy to tease.

Heero glared. "Fine, don't tell me, but I won't tell you mine either."

"So you do have a talent?" Duo asked in a low seductive voice.

Pulling Duo closer by the shirt, Heero gave him a long kiss. "Everyone has a talent."
