Happy New Year, Everyone!

Didn't get drunk last night as per tradition because I'm on antibiotics but my best friend and I did torture ourselves with watching the movie of our bat mitzvah (painful) and our class trip from my last year of highschool (2001 is notorious for it's bad music). I've been tired lately, sleeping and sleeping and still tired *yawns* I had a nap today,, Nap = good. Just came back from Twilight. Read the book too. Way too corny for me but I'm still curious, why is that? Is it a decease of some sort? Would the antibiotics work? You know what I love? Bogotá after Christmas. People leave and the city is kind of empty. I so love my city. It could be emptier but it's alright. Um, book recommendations anyone? Not counting Twilight, which really shouldn't count, I read The Dark Tower series last. Anything in that vein or something? *ponders* Fic recs, anyone? Yeah, I need things to read. You know what's cool? James and Sirius. You know what's boring? Everything being closed today because it's the first. Too much rambling and not particularly articulated anyway so I'll be considerate and let you go now.

Best of wishes for the new year to everyone! *snuggles*

*pets and cuddles you* I am currently on a noir kick so I would rec Dashiell Hammett. In particular 'The Maltese Falcon' and 'The Thin Man'. There is also the gay detective series, Donald Strachey Mysteries, by Richard Stevenson though they are hard to get a hold of unless you buy them. Final though is the Circle of magic series by Tamora Pierce which is ya, but very well done.

*smiles* You this is a rambling post, very stream of conscious.

Shannon Hale writes some interesting retellings of fairy tales.

Happy Newyear!
And ugh about being sick now -_- I was sick last weekend untill day before yesterday. Not fun. But I slept most of it. Yay for 13-hour sleeping stints!
Book recs? Uhm, I just finished Haruki Murakami's After Dark. I thought it was quite good, if a little weird at times. :/ But still, interesting read. :)

I'm just low on energy but that must be the antibiotics... I'm getting better though so that's good. *takes note of rec* Thank you!

Ok, as for reading New Moon, DON'T!!! It sucks! STephenie Meyers suck, creí que ya estábamos claras en eso!

Oh, btw, facebook tiene book recomendations personalizadas, deberías verlas, de pronto te dan alguna idea ^^

And the bat mitzvah movie wasn't all that painful... "este año... este año" :P

And the city is NOT that empty, trata de coger un bus al medio día que pase por la 11, vas a querer suicidarte!!!

Y sip, James y Sirius son cool... thanks for the fic :D

I guess if you read The Dark Tower, you could go for some good fantasy? The Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin is great!

I just finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy - If you like post-apocalypse-depressing-sticks-in-your-head-and-makes-you-cry, I highly recommend it ;)

*takes note* I do like post apocalyptic stories. Mostly I go for stories where I get really involved with the characters. Those are the ones I love the most and if they have to fight something, then better ^-^
