Sting

Quatre, Heero and Trowa friendship. Some angst. PG
For [livejournal.com profile] salamandere (sorry, I'm sure it turned out angstier than you wanted but I was in a weird mood)

"My sister used to be allergic to pollen. It was fine in the colonies, we don't get that many flowers anyway, but she wanted to come to Earth, wanted it so much. It killed her. A bee sting. She was allergic to bees too."

"Do you miss her?" Trowa asked.

Quatre looked up from his hand. It was swelling, fingers already twice it's size and turning an ugly purple color. "I never met her," he admitted. "Aisha told me about her. I think it was a warning. She knew I wanted to see Earth too."

"You are not allergic," Heero said, finally taking the sting from Quatre's finger.

"A bee can't kill a Gundam pilot," Trowa added, handing Heero the disinfectant.

"I guess not, but it can kill." Quatre looked down at the grass, to where the bee lay dead. "And it destroyed it."

"Killing always destroys." Heero applied the disinfectant to Quatre's hand and raised his eyes to look directly at him, "but we survived."

Quatre glanced at Trowa. "Barely."

Trowa fixed his eyes on Quatre's. "But we grew stronger."

"Strong enough to stop killing?" Quatre asked.

"Yes," assured Heero.

"Maybe," hoped Trowa.

"Yeah," said Quatre, unsure with whom he was agreeing. "Thank you," he smiled at the both of them and moved his fingers slowly. "It doesn’t hurt as much anymore."

Hola! Gracias! No, yo no lo pinté, soy un completo desastre para dibujar. Pedí que me lo hicieran en la feria del libro y lo escanie. El fondo es un texture con unas pinceladas extra y pues lo escrito y todo que es de photoshop.

This is nice. It is a sad thing about the sister Quatre never knew. Well done!

Thank you! I turned a bit heavier than I had imagined the prompt to be.

what a nice surprise to wake up and find this!
hehe, i like angst! especially how you've done it, with the feelings there, but hope as well. I really enjoyed how the 3 of them were working and talking seamlessly together--it's just how I imagine they would be after fighting a war together. Thanks so much mis, it's great! XDDDDD ♥

Thank you! I like for them to be friends and really close after the war. It just seems right that way. I'm glad that you liked it, even if it turned out heavier than what the prompt suggested.
