*is a sheep* From a few people...

Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc.

I’m all for gay marriage. It’s actually quite difficult for me to understand why people find it difficult to accept this type of union. Love is love and all that and if two people man and woman can decide to share their life together what is really the difference if they are of the same sex? I do know I’m preaching to the choir here but there are so many people out there who can’t understand it, who find the idea insulting and it hurts that while there are so many horrible things happening in the world people invest so much time and energy to oppose love. I’m Jewish and orthodox Judaism doesn’t accept gay marriage. Actually when I was in Israel a bit back I had this horrible class with an orthodox woman. First she was saying how depression isn’t really a disease but people aren’t trying hard enough to be happy and then she goes and says homosexuality needs to be cured. First I challenged her but it was obvious she wouldn’t listen, then all I could do was laugh at her face because I couldn’t believe she was really saying that there are doctors who can treat the special part of the brain that is damaged by homosexuality. It saddens me so much that there are people like that who won’t even try to be open minded. So yeah, I would raise a flag for gay marriage. They deserve the same rights we all have. Sometimes I stop and think about the absurdity of having to fight for the right to love.
