A few days ago I got a mail telling me I was nominated to the Rurouni Kenshin Readers Choice Awards. I'm very honored and thankful to whoever nominated me but I declined. The fic nominated is an old one and filled with mistakes so it's not up to participate in any contests. Still, it feels good that it was nominated. I got a cute blinky and I'm posting it here.

If any of you are active in the RK fandom, click on the blinky and go to vote on the contest. I looked over the nominated fics but it seems that I've been out of the fandom for too long. I don't recognize more than 2 fics. However, it's good that the awards are being hosted again. It makes me all nostalgic.

Wow, they're back? Geez, I remember going to that page to find all the fics I used to read.

Yeah! I remember doing that too. I entered the fandom by reading all the fics that had won previous years. I still remember a very long one called Meiji something where Sano came back... it was never finished *mutters* If I remember correctly, you also left some unfinished ones I was reading. *tries to remember*

*nodnod* When I first got into it, I went there, since the link was on like every page I went to for fic.

*cough* I have a lot that are unfinished. Though I keep saying I'm going to finish the one.

IThe problem with bunnies is that they don't listen when you tell them you have other things to finish and when you least expect it you are drowining in WIP...

Congratulations on the nomination, even if you did decline. It's nice that someone enjoyed your story enough to nominate it.

Thank you. It was a nice surprise. The fic is old and it always makes me happy to know that people are still reading it, despite the mistakes.
