Who is 12?

I was chatting the other day with someone and she told me that she was reading a 3x12 fic.

After processing the information I answered with a simple "Ewwwww".

However, she asked me what did I see wrong with it. Well the idea of having Trowa paired up with someone like that didn't make me happy at all and sent lots and lots of really disturbing images to my head. So I told her I really wasn't into Trowa having his way with Deikim Barton.

Apparently that was the problem. For her, the 12 didn't represent Deikim, but Midii Une, which cleared a lot of things up. I might not like TBxMU but I wouldn't say "Ewww" to that.

Then we went into this childish argument about who was really 12 and she gave me this link: http://midiiune.tripod.com/MidiiUne/312project.html

Now I'm all confused.

Any if you GW fans care to explain the Midii/12/Deikim confusion?

PS. In other news, why didn't anyone told me about Gravitation before? *pokes nulls* I want more episodes!

I must confess, I've never heard of Midii Une refered to as "12."

I have heard of the subset 3XMU, unfortunately, the way I heard about it left a bad taste in my mouth. I've only read a few fics.

Heh, in one of my stories I had Dorothy being Midii Une after plucking her eyebrows. Tell you about that later.

I've often seen Midii written as '12', though I've probably read 90% of the Trowafic out there (for all pairings). I've actually never seen Dekim written as twelve- ten, yes, since Dekim is derived from Decem which is Latin for ten. Now, the origin of Tsuberov's name come from twelve, which is even creepier than Dekim x Trowa. But Midi is 'noon' in French, so that's where twelve comes from.

That certainly clears things up. Thanks, Meph, you really helped me with that. I never realized the Midii thing but you are right. I guess the problem was me and my dirty mind.

Oh yes, I'm only up to episode four. I need to watch ore now that I have the rest of the episodes. Sadly, life is going to be hell for the next few weeks *kicks finals* but then I'll have vacation so I'm looking forward to that.

When you said 12, I had _no_ clue what you were talking about. I didn't realize there _was_ a twelve - or a ten for that matter. I guess I'm still pretty new to the fandom.

I haven't seen the Gravitation anime, but I've been reading the manga. (g) I adore it - it's _so_ good. I got into it from Fake, actually, and have now been going around checking out other shonen-ai manga. :) I heard from someone else that the anime and the manga were different, but equally good. Have you read it?

No, sorry. I only got the episodes recently and I've seen only the first four. I have the rest now and I hope to see them soon, as soon as I'm done with finals from Hell.

I _HIGHLY_ recommend avoiding the Fake anime and going for the manga. The anime is ... well, I don't much like the drawings, and the English voices are absolutely brutal. The Japanese aren't bad, though. (I've watched it both ways). The manga, however, is incredibly awesome. I adore it.
