Date: 2005-07-20 09:00 pm (UTC)Oh, and tell me the top five favorite countries you've been to!

Date: 2005-07-20 09:26 pm (UTC)I've only been to 6 other countries but here it goes.
1. Colombia. I really love it here, it is my favorite country. *points to the flag waving*
2. Israel. I fell in love with Israel, especially with Jerusalem. It's such a magical place, full of history. The desert is magnificent, the seas are amazing and the cities are full of life and many cultures, since it's a country of immigrants. I miss Jerusalem I loved living there.
3. Cuba. The time I spent there was like a dream. The people are amazing; the cities are full of life, music and culture. They do have a lot of problems but what's really impressive is how they keep their spirit and culture alive. Every time I think if Cuba I can't help but smile.
4. Mexico. I was only in Cancun but I really want to go to Mexico City one of these days. The beaches were beautiful and the people are really nice.
5. Spain. I love Madrid, it's a beautiful city. The people weren't so nice. I guess I'm too used to the Latin people. We are very warm and the people in Spain weren't as much. However, the cities were beautiful. Toledo was like going to the past. A really wonderful place.

As for a list...
How about the top five moments of your life (so far)?

Date: 2005-07-20 11:13 pm (UTC)-Jordan, because I was only there a day. And while Petra is amazing, I didn't see more of the country.
-USA. I've only been to Miami and while I liked it, there was nothing that really got my attention there.
And your city looks fabulous! There's so little wonderful architecture and historical buildings around here. ;_;
It is beautiful. I really love it. And you need to come and visit. *nodnod*
How about the top five moments of your life (so far)?
Man, that's a hard list. *thinks* In no specific order:
1. Landing on Israel
2. Wining a scholarship when I graduated school.
3. Walking down the streets of Cuba with my friends
4. Sitting in a balcony with my grandfather and just talking
5. When I finished writing a novel, when I was 15. (it sucks but I felt really good for writing it back then)
I think I cherish small things much more than other more important accomplishes *shrugs*

Date: 2005-07-21 01:45 am (UTC)The five people (real or otherwise) that mean the most to you. (And why, if you don't mind.)

Date: 2005-07-21 02:45 am (UTC)In no specific order:
1. My mom. She's a great mom and we are very good friends. I have no brothers or sisters, and my dad died when I was ten, so it has basically been the two of us. We are very close.
2. My grandmother. My mom's mother. I live in the same building as my grandparents so we've always been really close. My grandmother is the most giving person I know. She is the definition of elegance and she was really beautiful when she was young. She's deaf, has been since I can remember, but she still dances when she can and we talk a lot.
3. My grandfather. He is the most amazing person I've ever met. He's very wise and caring. He's one of those people you can't help but respect. He never raises his voice and he's always heard. He introduced me to practically every liquor there is. When I was about 15 we would go to a restaurant and he would teach me how to pick the wine. It was funny watching the faces of the waiters when they presented the cork to my grandfather and he politely gestured to me, telling them I would be picking it. I love tangos and ravels because of him. We still sit together sometimes, have a glass of wine and talk.
4. My best friend. We've been best friends since we were 12. There is no one who knows me better than she does. She's the only person I've allowed to see me cry. We've had great times together and as they say we might as well be joined at the hip.
5. Another friend. He and I have been friends since we were really little. We grew up together and never stopped being friends. We know each other really well but we are also very different. He's the analytical type. Best in our class, always dedicated, great with numbers, an engineer student. He helped me pass math in school more than once. Still we always manage to find common ground, and we are always there for each other.

Date: 2005-07-22 06:52 pm (UTC)I would really like that. :)
I only have one grandfather left, but he's such an important part of my life - I know what you mean. Family ... I know that for some people, this isn't true, but my family (including two friends who are as close to me as sisters) is so incredibly important in my life. I can't imagine not having them in it - not being able to talk to them, support and be supported by them ... I just can't fathom it. *hugs* So ... yeah. My five people would be my parents, my sisters, my two best friends and my partner (which is more than five people, but ... well, tough. ;) ).
