___

They were standing beneath a tree. It had started to rain and the heavy drops were falling hard on the ground. They were both wet. She was hugging herself, trying to keep warm. He was leaning on the tree, his hands by his side, and looking at the rain. He didn't seem to be disturbed by the cold.

The road back to Tokyo was a long one, but they had decided to walk rather than taking a boat. Maybe they needed some time to find closure before they were able to get back to the city, to their lives. Life goes on, and it stops for no one, but still, they could take the long way and enjoy the view, one step at a time, and let the future be far away, always out of their reach.

She was shaking slightly and he noticed it. He moved towards her, slowly, almost hesitantly. The last time he had hugged her it was to say goodbye; now he had no reason, he did it because he wanted to, and because he thought she would like it.

Her hands dropped to her side and she leaned her head on his neck. Her warm breath tickled his skin.

The rain was still falling hard. They stayed close, waiting for the storm to end, and then they would continue their walk, one step at a time.

This is so beautiful. One of those moments where no dialog is needed at all. I could see it all and it is just beautiful.

Lovely images and emotions expressed here. Very vivid, I could most feel the hot breath on my shoulder.

Awww...I love it!! How awesome. My favorite lines were:

"Life goes on, and it stops for no one, but still, they could take the long way and enjoy the view, one step at a time, and let the future be far away, always out of their reach."

I like how it implies that the future is intangible and distant and that K+K can concentrate on the simple happiness of the present and not think about worries and anxieties about the storm or the path ahead.

You are always such a nice fic writer. ^_^

Thank you!

I have a thing for rain. I love it. It can produce so many feelings, and it's so very beautiful That's why I keep using it as a setting. I can't never get enough rain.

I'm really glad that you liked it. Specially since I wrote it for you.

I'm a big fan of the now. I think ahead, like everyone does but I truly think that if you don't enjoy what you are doing now then you aren't really living. Make the best of today, tomorrow would come anyway. *shrugs*

Oh and I love that icon. I've never said it but I think it's really cool.
