I was wondering, where does everyone think Sank is?

I know it's in Europe, and by the sea, but canon doesn't tell us more, right?

I was thinking Denmark could be a possibility, but I guess I need to get a map, re watch the series and see if it could be.

So, anyone has any thoughts?

There's a scene when Heero and Quatre are in Sanq where Noin and the boys are looking at a map of the area (I think it's when the Romefellar forces are marching on Sanq, but I could be mistaken). I don't recall the details very well, but it might offer some clues. I think the region, while vaguely shaped, looked like it might have included some of the Mediterranean and some of the Black Sea? eh... *isn't sure*

I'll have to go search through episodes now too; you've got me freshly curious! ^__^

Black Sea? Interesting.... It gives me a better idea than simply somewhere in Europe. I'll need re watch that part of the series too and see what I come up with. I would really love to know, or at least have an idea of where Sank is.

The one map, where Romafeller's launching the attack makes me think it's in that spit of land between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. That would put it in Georgia (former Soviet Republic of).

I need to re watch the Sank episodes and pay attention to the maps. You had a very interesting idea, though. :)

I believe, though I cannot be certain, that Sol 1056 has discussed this in an article s/he posted on the Gundam Wing Addiction Message Board some time ago. It talked about how the characters represented countries during 20th-century wartime. If that is indeed where I read this, I think that Sol suggested Sanq was probably located in France, because the official clothing worn by Milliardo and Relena is reminiscent of the clothing worn in France centuries ago.
