First of all *points at my new icon* Isn't it cute? *looks at the f-list, points at icon and grins* *is subtle*

Now I have a question for hexadecimal00. vr2lbast, dysis, or anyone else living in Canada who might know. Are there work experience programs in Canada like the ones they have in the US? I mean, can I go work there for the summer? Is it easy to do, or even possible?

Anyone else living outside the US has this type of programs in their countries? *is curious*

I have no idea if there are international work experience programs. I know there are some for within Canada, but for international, you might have to check with immigration or the HRSDC.

Immigration: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html (Which you'd need for a work visa anyway.)

I don't know of any programs offhand, but I'm sure there are ones. A quick search of the 'net led me here - http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/canadaeuropa/youth/programs_eu-en.asp (http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/canadaeuropa/youth/programs_eu-en.asp), which is directed at Canada-Europe exchanges, but you might find some useful information. I also found (from a UK website) a list of links including "http://www.bunac.org.uk/">http://www.bunac.org.uk/ (href) and http://www.istplus.com/ (http://www.istplus.com/) which talk about internship and other work abroad programs in Canada. (The links site is http://www.kent.ac.uk/careers/vacwork.htm#abroad (http://www.kent.ac.uk/careers/vacwork.htm#abroad).

Sorry I can't be of more specific help. It'd be awesome if you could come up here, though! :)

Right now I'm just exploring my options, none of it is sure, but it would be a blast to go there and meet some friends. *winks*
