Taken from Hex and Windsor.

1. In your mind, pick thirteen movies you really like.
2. Pick a quote/short exchange from each one; don't repeat movies.
3. Post and let everyone guess what movie the lines of dialogue come from (extra kudos if people can name the characters speaking and being spoken to!)
4. Cross out the quotes when someone guesses correctly.

1. "Haven't you heard of the Emancipation Proclamation? "
" I don't listen to hip-hop."

2. "Only a fool would try and arrest us twice in one day."
"You're under arrest."
" A fool. "
The Three Musketeers (Athos, guard and Athos, Aramis and Portos) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] hexadecimal00

3. "I'm just a little anxious to get up there and whoop ET's ass, that's all." Independence Day (Captain Hiller) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] windsorblue

4. "There is no spoon." The Matrix (boy at the oracle's living room and Neo) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] kedriaa

5. "Happiness is just a tear drop away." Shrek 2 (Fairy Godmother) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] raletha

6. "We'd better get back, 'cause it'll be dark soon, and they mostly come at night... mostly." Aliens (Newt) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] zerotwofan

7. " I mean, they all have husbands and wives and children and houses and dogs and, you know, they've all made themselves a part of something and they can talk about what they do, and what am I going to say? "I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork... How have you been?" Grosse Pointe Blank (Martin Blank)--> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] windsorblue

8. "This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time." Fight Club (Narrator)--> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] zerotwofan

9. "Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." Ferris Buller's Day Off (Ferris Buller) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] windsorblue

10. "Hey Father Thomas, what's happenin'?"
"What's happening is I've been sent to deliver a message like I'm working for Western Union instead of the Roman Catholic Church."

11. "No harm ever came from opening a chest"
"Yeah, no harm ever came from reading a book either. Remember how that one went?"
The Mummy Returns (Evy and Rick O' Conell) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] kedriaa

12. "Houston, you have a problem." Armageddon (Harry) --> Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] misty_yuy

13. "In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary... come again."

I think #3 is Will Smith in Independence Day, and am pretty sure #7 is John Cusack in Grosse Point Blank. #9 is Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

4 - the matrix? (the bald kid in the oracle's apartment)
11 - The mummy returns? (Evy and Rick O'Connell)
12 - Apollo 13?

I'm quite surprised I actually recognised these! I'm usually quite bad with quotes. ^_^

4 is correct! Neo also says that before shooting down the elevator. I love that quote.

11 is correct too, but #12 is wrong. *gives you cookies*

Gawd, I know number one...I just can't think of it. *Pulls hair*

Number 2 is from a Charlie Sheen movie, I'm sure. I'm thinking Men at Work...but I might be wrong.

I want to know what 7 is...that sounds hilarious. Gross Point Blanke? *Reading other posts*

From the book reference, I'd guess, completely off hand, that number 11 is from Fushigi Yuugi...one of the OVAs? It's familiar, too, and that's damn annoying!

You have to see that movie. It's hilarious. John Cusack is a profesional assasin that has to go to his 10th hightschool reunion. It's really cool.
