"Corner, Boot, thirty push-ups!"

Terry looked at Michael and shook his head sadly. "He didn't seem to like your very explicit suggestion."

"And I didn't like doing squats for the last thirty minutes either," Michael answered, taking off his t-shirt and using it to wipe the sweat form his face.

"Now!" Fritz Bagman's voice was loud and commanding.

"He also seems to have an aversion to using verbs on his imperatives," Terry pointed out, helpfully.

Michael threw his shirt to the side. "Maybe he just finds words frivolous."

"Make that fifty," said Bagman without humor.

"Should those be divided equally?" asked Terry adjusting his glasses. "Or can we go by a proficiency curve."

Michael glared at him. "No proficiency curve unless it's inverted."

"You can do seventy each!" Bagman interrupted, swiftly ending the argument.

Michael transferred his glare from Terry to Bagman and moments later his wand was in his hand.

Terry quickly put an arm around Michael's shoulder. "Believe me, I'm as sore as you are, I know it seems like a great idea, but I also know how much you stink at maths, Mike. You literally cannot calculate how many push-ups that would cost you."

"I might risk it," Michael muttered under his breath.

"One hundred!" Bagman ordered. "And if you don't start now, believe me I'll make it double."

One. Two. Three. It would have been worth it. Four. Five. Six.

Seven. Eight. It wouldn't have been one hundred then.

Nine. Ten. Then do me a favor, Terry, and calculate the ratio of soreness plus my level of frustration now and compare it to my level of joy minus the level of soreness I would have gotten…. How many it is now?

Fourteen. Fifteen. And I told you, Mike. It can't be—
