Duo stood in the middle of the room waiting. He had spent three horrible days wondering, thinking and over thinking until he drove himself crazy. However things went, it would be decided now so when Heero parted his lips to speak, Duo held his breath.

"You."

"You? What the hell kind of answer is that?" Duo narrowed his eyes. "I asked you if you were taking that job as Relena's security chief, you have me waiting for three days for the answer and you just say that? I know you don't like talking that much, Heero, but one word in this case isn't enough… especially if it isn't yes or no."

"You are going back to the colonies," Heero explained.

"Uh huh, so?"

"Relena lives on Earth," Heero spoke slowly.

"I know that." Duo rolled his eyes. "Still doesn't tell me much about your future plans or wh--"

Heero took Duo's chin on his hand and made him look into his eyes. "You," he repeated.

Duo blinked. "Me?" And then saw. "Oh. Oh, me!" He grinned. "That's a no to staying on Earth then?" he held Heero's stare, his smile getting wider. "I guess one word was enough."
