It was rare for Duo just to sit on the couch, looking out the window and lost in thought. A soft tune could be heard in the room and Heero stepped inside quietly and let himself listen a bit. The music was faintly familiar but not something he could recognize readily. He waited until Duo turned to look at him.

"This song was playing the day I decided I loved you."

Duo had never said something like that and Heero was cautious as he asked, "Was that the day you told me?"

Duo shook his head. "No. I waited three months before I did that."

"And I broke your heart." Heero shifted his eyes, staring at the wall.

"Yeah, but this is a happy song. I was happy when I decided that I wanted you."

There was movement behind him and Heero raised his eyes just in time to see Duo stand before him, a small smile on his face. "And then you came back."

"I was a fool for leaving," Heero said.

"But you came back," Duo repeated. "It’s a happy song."

"It is?"

Duo leaned closer until their mouths were almost touching. "Yes," he said brushing Heero's lips with his. "It is."
