This morning I bring you a very short and fluffy drabble...

"Cookies?" Heero looked down at the plate.

"Cookies," Quatre said and tried a smile.

Duo gave Quatre a look but grabbed a chocolate chip cookie and ate it slowly. "You didn't make these," he said between mouthfuls.

"That's obvious," said Trowa, grabbing a vanilla cookie but not eating it just yet.

"I could make cookies," Quatre said, slightly offended.

They all gave him a look but decided to remain quiet about that statement.

"What's the occasion?" Wufei was ignoring the cookies and focusing all his attention on Quatre.

"It's a gesture of friendship."

Duo stopped eating mid-cookie. "Quatre, what did you do?"

Quatre tried his most innocent smile. It kind of worked with Wufei and Trowa. Heero was resisting a bit but there was still hope. Duo, however, was raising an eyebrow, amused. Quatre sighed. "I might have given you a few thousand shares of Winner Enterprises, each." He closed his eyes tight and waited for the storm to hit.

"Why?" Heero's question broke the very unusual silence that had taken place.

"It's not like I think you need it." Quatre opened his eyes slowly. "It just, I have so much and it doesn't seem right not to share it."

"Share it?" asked Trowa, nibbling on the vanilla cookie.

"The cookies would have been enough," Duo said lightly and took another one from the plate. "They are good."

Wufei tried one and nodded. Heero ate one silently.

Quatre beamed at them and helped himself to an oatmeal cookie. "Thanks!" He grinned. "Heero made them."

Cute! I love the last line...I think it's very in character that Heero would make the cookies and not take credit. It's also very in character with Quatre to make sure he does get the credit...especially when it'll take the other pilot's minds off of what he's done. A few thousand shares of WEI would make them significant holders and entitled to the responsiblities and perks that go with them, which the other boys may not understand until they think about it for a minute. It would also not make the rest of the shareholders and/or Qs family (whom I would think have large stakes as well) happy... *Feeds your plot bunnies* ^__________^
