"All my life I've—"
"Stop." Duo put a hand in front of Heero and shook his head. "It's been statistically proven that all the sentences that begin with 'all my life' are corny."
Heero blinked. "What?"
"Corny," Duo said. "You know, cheesy, too sugary fluffy?"
"I was trying to say something."
"Yeah, but you don't want to sound corny, do you?"
Heero crossed his arms over his chest. "Maybe I did."
"Then is a good thing I stopped you." Duo smiled nervously.
"Then I'll skip to the end." Heero fixed Duo with an annoyed glare. "I love you."
Duo's mouth dropped open. He coughed and swallowed a couple of times. "See?" he asked with fake humor. "I told you it was corny."
"You are supposed to say you love me back." Heero's eyes narrowed slightly, waiting.
It was a moment before Duo said, "You mean it?"
Heero let out an exasperated sigh, put his arms around Duo and kissed him. Duo returned the kiss and when they parted he was smiling. "I love you too."
Heero smirked. "That's how it was supposed to go."
"Yeah, well…" Duo kissed him again. "I guess corny isn't so bad after all.
