The Captain's Goggles

Rashid stood straight, watching as the cockpit of the Gundam opened and a figure jumped down, without hesitation, holding onto a rope. Taking two steps forward Rashid smiled. "Master Quatre, welcome to Earth."

Quatre had changed since Rashid had seen him last. He was taller and, although still lean, Rashid could notice the strength hidden in the slim figure. His eyes were completely different, more secure, proud and strong. Quatre shook his head slightly. "You don't have to call me Master, Rashid. I disinherited myself to come here. I don't deserve that title."

The words took Rashid by surprise. He hadn't expected Quatre to give up his family and everything he knew to fight, but somehow, it didn't surprise him either. "You earned that title, Master Quatre, not with your family's money but with your actions."

A small smile appeared on Quatre's face and he bowed his head, gracefully accepting the compliment. "Thank you, Rashid. It means a lot to me." He reached for his back pocket and retrieved a pair of goggles. "I also wanted to return these to you," he said, handing them to Rashid. "Thank you for letting me use them."

Rashid gently pushed the goggles back to Quatre. "They are yours."

"But they are the captain's goggles. You should have them."

"Master Quatre, I gave those to you." Rashid looked back at the group of Maguanacs barely restraining themselves from running over to greet Quatre, and then fixed his eyes on Quatre again. "When I did, I entrusted you with my men's lives. The Maguanacs owe you a debt of honor, one we are grateful to repay with our loyalty. Those goggles are a symbol of the trust we have in you, and you honor us by wearing them."

Quatre smiled, apparently unable to speak for a moment. He folded the goggles carefully and put them back in his pocket. "I will take good care of them."

Rashid nodded solemnly and waved the other Maguanacs over. "I know."

Oh, and btw, favorite Bleach characters are Urahara and Hitsugaya ^_^

Ah, I should have known who you liked in Bleach. They're two of my favorites, along with Ukitake. ♥

And those are great Bleach characters. i keep wanting to see more of them.

Wow, very powerful. This piece really speaks loud and clear on the importance of Quatre to Rashid and vice versa. Lovely.

Thank you! Rashid was the man who changed Quatre's view of himself, that's a great impact. And I think he's a much more strong father figure than Mr. Winner ever was. It's an interesting dinamic since Rashid and the Maguanacs respect Quatre so much. Hee... I'll stop now. Thank you again ^_^
