The finals are over! <-- Can you tell I'm excited?

I just spamed the ML with the feedback I had to send. Now, I'll catch up with LJ and then with some writing.

I now have 3 months of vacation. I'm so happy.

And tired. I think I need to catch up with all the sleep I missed this last few days.

*goes to vegetate for a while* Oh, how did I missed this.

Ps. I have glasses now, they gave them to me today. It's an interesting thing to be able to see. I guess I didn't realize how bad I was before but now that I can see better... *hugs glasses*

I remember that moment... my first glasses... I was like "oh, I was supposed to be able to see seperate leaves on a tree a meter away...????"

And then I had a similar moment when I got contacts... "oh wow, that's how my face looks without glasses!"

Lol.

Have a good vacation! :D You made me want my summer holidays now... but alas, I have exams and a few more months yet to go.

Ha! I got my first pair when I was eight. I remember how weird it was to see individual blades of grass on the lawn rather than a vague green blur. Took me a while to get used to it.

I've been wearing glasses since I was about 12. When I got my last prescription, I paid extra to have the lenses made extra thin. (So instead of being as thick as the bottom of a coke bottle, they're normal thickness.) It makes them lighter and voila! No headaches!

Got any big plans for your vacation?

(I just realized that the expression "thick as the bottom of a coke bottle" may have no meaning to you younger folks. You may never have seen an actual glass coke bottle. @_@)

Yeah, the glasses have open a new world to me. I don't have to wear them all the time and I really don't think I look that bad with them. Definitely different but I'm not sure is bad.

Congratulations! What were your finals in, by the way?

Let's see...

- Essay about Rubén Darío and the image of the artist constructed in the short stories of the book "Azul" and the role it had in the Latino-american Modernism.

- Exam about a couple of articles about the need of reading to create a true democracy on the Latino-american countries.

- Essay about an article on cloning and the individuality of men.

- Essay about the theater of the absurd and an analysis ot "The tricycle", a play by Francisco Arrabal.

- Essay about a book of essays by Pedro Salinas.

- Essay about a really bad book that is little more than pornography, called "The ages of Lulu", by Almudena Grandes.

- Essay about the The Nibelungenlied and the role of the different heroes in the story.

- Some paper about a couple of books I didn't read.

I think that's it. The rest was done the week before this one, is another list more or less like that one. The reading was done this week too. See why I'm so happy is over?

On the contrary. I might be young but I do live in Colombia and I did saw the glass bottles of coke when I was a kid. Remember, things get here a bit latter than to other places. Actually, in january, I went to a small town near my city with a friend, and when we went to buy coke, the gave us a glass bottle. It brought back a lot of memories.
