I'm catching up with all the meme I missed so…

Taken from a lot of people.

1. What books are your comfort reading -- the ones you slink back to in times of stress?

Harry Potter and some Mythology and Hebrew History reference books.

2. What was your favorite book as a child, and why?

The Glassblower Children by Maria Grippe. This book is a must read, even if you are grown up. It deals with so many deep issues in such a wonderful way.

3. What was your favorite book as an adolescent, and why?

In the time of the butterflies by Julia Alvarez and Exodus by Leon Uris. Have you got books that mark a time in your life? Those books are adolescence for me.

4. What is the most unread category of books gathering dust on your bookshelf -- the books you've bought but just never get around to reading?

I guess a large number of pocket books an aunt gave to me because she had already read them and didn't fit in her new apartment. I've read a couple but I don't really know what exactly is there. *shrugs*

5. What kind of books would you like to say you read, but never do?

Poetry. I'm not a big poetry fan.

6. What's the oddest book you've ever read?

La invención de Morel (The Invention of Morel ) by Adolfo Bioy Casares.

7. What book were you never able to get through, despite the recommendations of people you respect?

El otoño del patriarca (The Autumn of the Patriarch) by Gabriel García Márquez. You wait and see, I will read this book one day. I have to.

8. What's the book it took you a couple of tries to get into, but was as good as promised once you finally made it?

El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha (The Ingenious Knight Don Quixote of la Mancha) by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. A really, really good book.

9. What's your favorite short story...or do you even have one?

The Last Question by Isaac Asimov, El Inmortal (The Immortal) by Jorge Luis Borges and El almohadón de plumas ('The Feather Pillow') by Horacio Quiroga

10. The desert island. Three books (and collected works don't count; if you want Lord of the Rings it'll cost you all three slots). Go:

- The Bible – Not for religious reasons but because it is a long book and it's filled with great stories of every genre imaginable. A classic.
- Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. – I love that book.
- Abadón el exterminador (The Angel of Darkness) by Ernesto Sábato – Really good book and worth re reading a lot of times.

Taken from a lot of people...

Pick five, or ten, or more, of your fic titles. List them in your journal and explain how you came up with each one. Post this prompt as well, so that the meme spreads.

Heavenly Lost: It was the middle of the night and I was trying to get some sleep. Instead, I started thinking of a title for that RK bunny I had. Well since the fic is about Heaven and Hell and the characters are searching for heaven, I thought it was appropriate. Besides, I like the sound of it.

This Is Where I Look Back: This bunny assaulted me one night while I was making toast, and by 10 am it was done. The title came with the last line. I thought it fitted just fine.

Rollercoaster: This bunny was born by the mental image of Quatre riding a rollercoaster and how he would feel about that. Hence, the title.

And An Angel Fell From The Sky: The idea of this title was to make it a double metaphor. Quatre jumping from the railing, or falling, and Heero realizing that Quatre is no angel. I don't know if it worked but that was the idea behind it, anyway.

Inverse: I was searching for a title and I know I wanted it to be one word. I wanted a word that described something opposite. I had the word in Spanish 'anverso' so I looked for different translations and this was the one I liked best.

Sandstorm: Ok, this one took some research. I wanted it to be one word too. I remember sitting in class and thinking of a title when it started to rain. Then I decided I wanted something to do with a stormy weather. After that, I searched the English dictionary for a while and noticed 'sandstorm'. I decided that I liked the word and that it would go well with the fic.

Helios: This one needed some research too. I knew I wanted the fic to have the name of the kitty and I wanted the kitty to have the name of a Greek god. So, I searched trough some Mythology books and found a god that fitted the kitty. I was actually contemplating "Smelly Cat" and a name too.

Tinto y Café con Leche: When Ruth asked for a fic with coffee, the title was the first thing that came to mi mind. Then, I wrote the fic.
