Writer’s block

The epilogue of ‘The Findings of Earth’ is giving me a hard time.

I know exactly what I want to write, I had it planed for months! But now, I try to write it and I haven’t been able to write one sentence I like. I’m late; I should have posted the epilogue this week but I’m having such a hard time with it. I don’t want to post a mediocre ending just because I didn’t take the time to write it the way I wanted it to be. I’ve been writing this story for a little over a year (and even more if you count the prequel), it deserves a good ending!

It also deserves a good beta read but I’ll worry about that later.

*hears the song playing* I think my MP3 player is trying to give me some advice...

That's why I wrote the Hiko story. There are only a few out there, and I figured if I wanted more, I'd have to write it myself!

Hiko is rather grandfatherly toward Kenji, although he's a bit young to be Kenshin's own father. He's only 13 years older than Kenshin.
That means that when he found a 7 or 8 year old orphaned Kenshin, he was only in his early twenties himself. Not many young adventurous men would be that compassionate, to take in an orphan. I think that says more about Hiko than anything. He's a very honorable person, above and beyond everything else.
