48. Waves

If there was something Quatre never got tired of watching it was the ocean, the vast expanse of water, so large that – no matter how many times he'd seen it – he found difficult to believe it existed; Duo had once told him that he'd felt the same until the day he sat on the beach and was visited by the waves… while the ocean was too big to comprehend, the waves, dying on the beach, were the only proof Duo needed of the ocean's existence.

I can do that... Like... Sit on a rock near the ocean, freezing my ass off and just staring at the sea. For hours.

It's nice, isn't it? I love watching the waves at the edge of a beach too.

That is a gorgeous visual. Somethings are so big the only way to wrap your head around them is a small piece at a time.

Thank you! I'm glad that you like it. I have to confess I'm very impressed at the ocean that way too, because it's so big. I imagine that it would be even more for children who grew up in the colonies. Earth can be overwhelming, but we are so used to it that we rarely take the tome to stop and see.
