They couldn't really get a common ground, not when Trowa was a circus performer and Quatre was Master Winner. They had tried, really tried, but not matter how many shuttles Quatre caught to see him or how many formal evenings Trowa forced himself to attend they just weren't enough.
He hadn't wanted to see it but it had become evident. The sign had come as a newspaper article speculating about the next Winner heir and when would Quatre Winner marry and give the colonies the next prince in line.
That was that and even though it was more painful that drifting in space Trowa had walked away. It was better this way, it was supposed to be better.
Still when Quatre appeared at his trailer door with nothing but a duffle and a promise to stay Trowa decided to close his eyes and be blind to anything but the signs of love clearly visible in Quatre's eyes.
