Comfort Food
Duo took a swig of his beer and wiped his mouth with the back of his had. "What you get?"
Trowa grinned and placed the plate on the table. Tamales. Duo nodded his approval and took another bite of his culin, licking his fingers after he finished the pork sausage. He patted his stomach, took another swig of his beer and smiled happily. "You know, Tro, this is the only good thing about having our snuggle bunnies away."
After almost chocking on his food, Trowa drank some beer said, "I would like to see you call them that to their faces."
Shrugging, Duo stole a piece of pork from Trowa's tamales and ate it. "Q would probably find an inventive and scary way to get back at me. Heero would be inventive too, but not scary." He winked.
Trowa shook his head. "I don't want to know."
"Like you two aren't kinky," Duo accused. "I can see Q punishing you for eating this."
"Not in the fun way." Trowa frowned. "He just doesn't let me kiss him for two days."
"Ouch!" Duo winced. "Heero makes faces and tells me he can smell the grease in my skin. Like you can really do that!"
Finishing his tamale Trowa shook his head. "They don't know what they are missing." He finished his beer and then looked at Duo. "Empanadas?"
"Hell yeah!" Duo said, standing up and walking up to the small food stand. "If our lovers have to be away then we might as well enjoy all the comfort food we can."
Trowa nodded. "Let's get some tortillas too."
"Good idea," Duo agreed. "They get back in two days and then there's no more unhealthy greasy food for a while," he added, smiling.
"A tragedy," Trowa said in a bored tone. He was smiling too.
Duo laughed and patted Trowa on the back. "The sacrifices we made for love."
Trowa's smile widened slightly. "They are worth it, though."
Duo grinned in response and licked his fingers. "Oh yes…"
