Today I got a mail from [livejournal.com profile] iniq asking me for recs for bands or songs in Spanish for the Summer. Instead of giving her a list, and because I love sharing music, I made her a mix. The music is in Spanish, different sounds and rhythms so she could get a sample of a bit of everything (well, not really everything). There's music to dance to, to sing to, to drive to, to read to... [livejournal.com profile] iniq, I hope you like it.

Anyone else, feel free to download too if you want.

The cover art is a street in Cartagena and I'm actually one of the shadows.

If you comment to this entry (saying you want one) I'll give you a letter and you upload five songs beginning with that letter!

[livejournal.com profile] merith gave me H, for her kitty Hope.

Hand in my Pocket - Alanis Morissette: I love this song. The lyrics seem to fit every mood always and there's a harmonica.
Happy Working Song - Amy Adams (Enchanted Soundtrack): If this song doesn't make you smile I don't know what will...
Hijo de Luna - Ana Torroja: This song is a story, the legend of a woman who made a deal to the moon to give it her child if she were pregnant. Beautiful song.
Houki Boshi - Yunna & Younha: One of Bleach's theme songs. It's a happy song and always puts me in a good mood.
Hoy Tenemos - Sidestepper: If you want some salsa latin rhythms mixed with a contemporary beat this is a great song. Cool to dance to also. This song will get you moving your hips even before you realize you're doing it.

In other news, I'm going in a couple of hours to the Cartagena Film Festival. Cartagena is a lovely colonial city by the sea, here in Colombia, very beautiful and filled with history and culture (those of you who've read García Márquez's Love in Times of Cholera, or seen the movie, will know what I'm talking about).

I'll be back Monday morning (6:00 am flight, evil, I know) but until then I don't think I'll have much internet access so if I'm not around that's why. Looking forward to some sun ^_^. Have a wonderful weekend everyone and I'll see you when I get back.

[livejournal.com profile] lavenderfrost tagged me.

List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

In other news, I'm done with the semester... so that only leaves work to worry about. Yay!

1. Have the people on your friends list choose a number between 1 and XX, where XX is the total number of songs on your computer.
2. After your friend comments with his/her chosen number, you will upload the song that corresponds with said number.
3. That friend must post this meme in his/her journal in order to keep this going (and going, and going...) Only if you want to.

So, you get to pick from 1 to 1526. [Edit] Pick as many numbers as you want.

Also, I love sharing music so if there's something special you like, or a song from a genre or artist or whatever, just ask.

I'm posting the answers of the Lyric meme thingy. I still have 3 drabbles left to write. You'll get them, don't worry. *winks*

Randomize your MP3s, then post the first five lyrics of the first 20 songs. Then let people guess them. No cheating!!

Just to spice it up, I'll write you a drabble for every one you guess. You get to chose, pairing and prompt. Just GW for this one. Sorry. A couple are very easy. Good luck!

Also, thank you to everyone who replied to my post last night. You guys are the best. *hugs*

[Edit] I need to sleep. I'll write more tomorrow. Feel free to keep guessing and asking for drabbles ^_^

A. Go to http://www.musicoutfitters.com

B. Enter the year you graduated from high school in the top right corner. (You may have to click on Music Resources, then scroll about halfway
down the next page to find the lists of years)

C. Bold for the songs you like, strike through the ones you hate and underline your favorite.

I was the last possible year... I don't know a lot of the song in this list, but I blame it on that not everything that is popular in USA gets here... and if I remember correctly, this was the year the champeta made its evil appearance. Sad that most of the songs I recognize, I just don't care for...

I hope you have a great day!

Step 1: Put your media player on random.
Step 2: Pick your favorite lines from the first 25 songs that play.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from.
Step 4: Cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly.

3. Louis Amstrong & Ella Fitzgerald - Dancing Cheek to Cheek

6. Disney - Aladdin - One Jump Ahead
7. DDR - Beethoven's 5th (Techno Remix) (*hides*, ok, this one quite sucks)
8. DDR - Butterfly (Vocal Techno Mix) (yeah, I'm one of those girls that you can see at the arcade dancing in those addictive machines, I still insist that all those pretty colors are only a way to hide the subliminal messages)
9. Piero - sinfonia inconclusa en la mar (Maybe [livejournal.com profile] alleyquat and [livejournal.com profile] galadriel_lll will be the only ones that will appreciate how truly embarrassing this is... anyone else with a Latino background? ropopopom....)

15. Cafe Tacuba - Aviéntame
